north korea LOST

That's not even the worst part.

It was actually broadcast live in their country for once! That communism karma is ruthless.

North Korean's Jon Tae-Se's two goals was very impressive against Greece, though it may be the highlight of their performance as a team unfortunately.

Well, that was bad.

I agree. That was mass destruction.

iverson wants to return

Allen Iverson's personal manager Gary Moore says his client is planning a return to the NBA.

This is going to be awkward.

Moore is seemingly going to have to break the bad news to Iverson when he'll ultimately advise him to play in China instead. Good luck with that, Gary. Maury Povich is your backup if you feel too pressured to tell him.

Why do I get the feeling a team is going to sign him anyway?

everybody hates vick. again.

Forbes lists Michael Vick as the most hated athlete for the second year straight.

2nd - Al Davis
3rd - Ben Roethlisberger
4th - Tiger Woods & Jerry Jones
5th - Terrell Owens

I hate when I lose my wallet.

when off-season activities go wrong...

From NY Daily News:

Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers is used to taking a beating. He's a receiver in the NFL, so getting banged around on the gridiron is a normal day at the office. You would think he'd be okay playing a game of flag football, where there's a lot less contact.

Smith didn't come out of the flag football game at his camp for kids okay, though.

"They were messing around, the ball went over his head and he slipped," Smith's agent, Derrick Fox told the Associated Press on Monday. "He put his arm out to brace himself. When he did, he felt a sharp pain."

The 31-year-old receiver broke his left forearm, and may miss most of training camp.

X-rays taken Sunday showed a break, and Smith went under the knife later that day, where doctors put a plate and screws in his arm, which was broken at the end of last season. Fox says that the break is in a different spot.

There is no nerve damage in the arm. Smith is expected to make a full recovery. He could return by the halfway mark of training camp, but the team is hoping he'll be ready for their opener against the Giants at New Meadowlands Stadium on Sept. 12.

Tough break, Stevonne. I'll attend your stiff arm's funeral, however. The good always die young.

mcgrady alongside kobe?

courtesy of Bleacher Report:

Tracy McGrady, a perennial All-Star and two-time NBA Scoring champion, has undergone a significant hit to his reputation after failed stints in Toronto, Orlando, and Houston. To date, McGrady has not gone past the first-round in the NBA playoffs.

After having battled various knee and back injuries in the past couple years, Tracy McGrady has been working himself back into shape under the strenuous regimen of esteemed athletic trainer Tim Grover. Now that he has finished his physical rehabilitation program, McGrady is
feeling rejuvenated enough to make a return in the 2010-2011 NBA season.

Despite having limited intentions to use the Mid-Level Exception this
summer, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak would consider pulling the trigger on the seven-time All-Star swingman should he accept a paycut at the MLE. Ron Artest, the defensive-minded role player who played a huge factor in this year's Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals, has reached out to McGrady to "end his career as a champion."

The Lakers are willing to explore a potential reunion of former Houston teammates Ron Artest and Tracy McGrady once the July 1 free agency begins.

In Los Angeles, Tracy McGrady would be asked to come off the bench as a role player, similar to what Lakers' forward Lamar Odom has done in the past two seasons. McGrady would provide the Lakers' bench unit with some offensive firepower and stability, and be another deadly weapon in the already loaded Lakers' arsenal.

Most importantly, the acquisition of Tracy McGrady would address the important need for a secondary slasher besides Kobe Bryant. As advocated by Laker great Jerry West, "I think they do need some changes. If you look, they have some free agents that are coming up but the
thing that would most concern me is I think they need someone else other than Kobe Bryant getting in the lane."

As expressed by one high-ranked official within the Lakers' management, should Tracy McGrady not return to the New York Knicks next season or spurn retirement, "expect the deal to get done by end of July.

Note to Tracy:
You can't let this happen. The truth made me spit out my drink, not the Photoshop.
You can still lose your virginity. Follow Ron.

manute bol (1962-2010)

"He ... was continually giving of himself through his generosity and humanitarian efforts in order to make the world around him a much better place, for which he will always be remembered." - Philadelphia 76ers president Ed Stefanski

why ron artest had a better day than you

I don't know what was better about Artest's Game 7 showcase of manliness, humility and swag. Was it the dagger 3 that Paul Pierce practically dared him to take? Maybe the kisses blown to the crowd interrupted by his barking of defensive assignments to his lesser teammates? Could it be that he destroyed a franchise and delivered a championship to another? Should i even mention the post-game interview?

Nah.

Here's to the rest of American youth thanking their hood following moments of grandeur.

And to think, Coach Zen didn't even want him too shoot. Did our bipolar hero listen?

Nah.
